As an adult who hated math as a child, I'm thrilled to see these recommendations for parents! Thank you from the bottom of my mathematically-challenged heart!
Not so long ago it was difficult to find STEM books for young children. I am so glad we are beginning to see more authors incorporating this into their writing. If you are looking for early STEM board books, I have always liked Donald Crews--basic language, lots of color, and great topics that toddlers love!

We love Shark Lady in our house. And when the children were younger we spent hours with Anno’s Counting Book.
I don't know Anno's counting book -- going to look it up!
